The Apio Group partners with Gedarisk to enhance transformation

The Apio Group are proud to announce their partnership with new independent majority black owned insurance advisory business, Gedarisk, whose vision it is to enhance the transformational efforts of the South African insurance industry.

“ The establishment of Gedarisk was inspired by the need to transform an industry and realise the vision of an inclusive economy and equality,” says Gedarisk managing director Bonga Zungu.

“Our mission is to be an agile, personalised-service and empathetic insurance broker that will continuously empower and ensure that clients’ lives and assets are adequately covered for against a variety of undesired risks.”

Gedarisk is a financial services business that is capacitated to provide insurance broking advice and products to personal and commercial clients. The company and its philosophy are anchored in South Africa, with a goal to revolutionise the global insurance environment.

The founders of the company believed in honouring African ancestry and embarked on a journey to create a legacy for future generations and the broader society of South Africa. The choice of the name “Geda” comes from one of the founders’ clan names within the African culture and it is linked to King Cetshwayo – one of the Kings of the Zulu nation, whose mother was Ngqumbazi Zungu.
