07 Jun Excess waiver, an option
When considering car insurance, it’s always advisable that you establish what you will have to pay out of your own pocket if you ever have to claim.
If you have had the unfortunate experience of having a motor accident, you may understand how the claim will be handled, but sometimes it’s the unforeseen costs you might have when your vehicle is finally repaired and ready for collection from the panel beaters that leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Most insurance policies have an excess or first amount payable, that you, as the policyholder or driver, have to pay in the event of a claim, regardless of whether you were at fault or not.
Sometimes this is a flat amount and sometimes it is a percentage of the damages bill, which means that the amount you have to pay can vary depending on the severity of the damages.
At Apio, we know that this may be an expense that you have not budgeted for and so we offer our client the option to include an “Excess Waiver” on their motor insurance cover.
For a small additional premium each month, you can rest assured that in the event of a claim, you will not have to pay a basic motor excess.
Please speak to an Apio Broker for more information and to find out if you can take advantage of this benefit and to understand any terms and conditions that may apply.
